There is no class on Nov 22 (Thanksgiving week)

Price: $330 (materials included).
Firings Fee: 5 cents per cubic inch (that includes bisque and glaze firing).
Open Studio: We offer Extra Studio time for currently enrolled students: $15 for one visit, $42 for 7 weeks; $50 for 8 weeks.

Hours: Tuesdays 1:00pm- 9:00 pm, Thursdays 1:00pm - 7:00pm & Saturdays 1:30 pm-5:00pm
There is no Open Studio during Thanksgiving week

Class Description:

This All-Level course will provide students with a foundation for working with ceramics. Coil building, slab construction, and hand building techniques will be covered. Traditional surface design processes will be shown including, water carving, burnishing, slip decoration, inlaid line, and various underglaze/glaze applications. 

About the Instructor: Larisa Daiga is an experimental ceramist and video artist working in New York City. Her creative focus is on process, movement, interaction and pushing the boundaries of ceramics as a material. She has participated in Adhocracy at the New Museum and the Film Room at the British Ceramics Biennial amongst other exhibitions internationally. Larisa Daiga received her Master in Ceramics at Royal College of Art, London, England, UK

Refund Policy: Refund and transfer requests must be made via mail or in person two weeks prior to the start of the class. Registration receipts are required.  There is a $50 processing fee for all refunds and transfers.

Makeup class Policy: We try to be as accommodating as possible with scheduling make-up classes, but it is based on availability. Make-ups must be pre-approved by the teacher to ensure the make-up class is the appropriate skill level, and that there is availability in the class.  If we are not able to schedule a make-up class, the student can come in for one day during Open Studio hours.
