Beginner to Intermediate Wheel Throwing (Saturday Mornings)

Session I Sept 8 - Oct 20
Session II Oct 27 - Dec 15 (there is no class on on Nov 24)

Hours: Saturdays 11:00am - 1:30pm

This is an all-level course for beginner to intermediate skill levels covering the foundations of wheel throwing.  Students enrolled in this class will learn how to center clay, throw proper cylinder forms, create functional vessels and understand the various properties of clay.  This is an excellent opportunity to work with a skilled instructor and gain the knowledge through practice and discipline to develop the essential skills of a potter. 

The price  includes clay and glazes. 

Firings Fee: 5 cents per cubic inch (that includes bisque and glaze firing).

Open Studio: We offer Extra Studio time for currently enrolled students: $15 for one visit; $42 for 7 weeks; $50 for 8 weeks.

Hours: Tuesdays 1:00pm- 9:00 pm, Thursdays 1:00pm - 7:00pm & Saturdays 1:30 pm-5:00pm
There is no Open Studio during Thanksgiving week

Makeup class Policy: We try to be as accommodating as possible with scheduling make-up classes, but it is based on availability. Make-ups must be pre-approved by the teacher to ensure the make-up class is the appropriate skill level, and that there is availability in the class.  If we are not able to schedule a make-up class, the student can come in for one day during Open Studio hours.

Refund Policy: Refund and transfer requests must be made via mail or in person two weeks prior to start of the class. Registration receipts are required and there is a $50 processing fee for all refunds and transfers.
