Please join glaze designer Cory Brown for a hands-on, informative workshop exploring AMACO's rich range of cone 5-6 midrange glazes. From fan favorites like Potters Choice to exciting new lines such as Cosmos and Phase Glazes, this session offers a unique opportunity to experiment, learn, and play with color and surface.
Participants will get an overview of AMACO’s glaze families through a guided presentation and demo, including tips for reading glaze labels, layering effects, and best practices for application.
Then, you’ll get to glaze your own bisque-fired work using a wide selection of AMACO glazes.
Participants should bring:
- 4–8 small bisque-fired pieces (the total volume of all items may not exceed 10”X10”x10”size per person).
-Any personal tools (brushes, gloves, small bucket, sponges)
-Underglaze pencils, cups, and other materials to help document your tests..
This 3-hour workshop is ideal for potters of all experience levels who want to deepen their understanding of midrange glazes and explore creative new combinations.
